Interpreting
A meeting, hearing or appointment that runs smoothly, with no communication breakdown — booked as simply as anything else on this site.
What it is / who it's for
Interpreting is the one service on this site priced and booked as time, not words — because there's no draft, no revision pass, and no second chance once the conversation is happening. You're booking a person's day or a block of it, so availability and cancellation terms matter here in a way they don't for a document.

Cancel before 48 hours and it's free — because the day is reserved for you.
There's no revision pass on spoken language: it happens once, live, and a breakdown mid-meeting is expensive in a way a delayed document isn't. That's also why the cancellation policy here is different from the rest of the site — free cancellation 48 hours or more before the session, 50% within 48 hours, full charge within 12 hours or a no-show. We say this plainly here rather than leaving it in the small print, because it's the thing anyone booking an interpreter actually needs to know upfront.
Free cancellation ≥48h before the session. Because the day is reserved for you.
Turnaround & pricing detail
| Standard | Express | |
|---|---|---|
| Remote, per hour | confirmed by next working day | subject to same-day availability |
| On-site Oslo, per hour | confirmed by next working day | subject to same-day availability |
| Half day / full day | confirmed by next working day | subject to availability, ask first |
Interpreting is timed by who's available, not by a production process — we confirm by the next working day because that's how long it takes to match the right person to your subject and location.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book someone on short notice?
Sometimes, subject to availability — ask before booking if your session is within 24 hours. Standard bookings are confirmed by the next working day.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Free cancellation 48 hours or more before the session. Within 48 hours, 50% of the fee applies; within 12 hours or a no-show, the full fee applies — the interpreter's day is reserved for you regardless of whether the meeting happens.
Does the interpreter know my subject area?
We match interpreters to your subject where relevant — legal, medical, technical or general business. Tell us the context when you book so we can match appropriately.
Remote or in person — which should I choose?
Remote works for most calls and video meetings; on-site Oslo is worth it for negotiations, site visits or anything where reading the room matters. Either is booked the same way, by the hour.
