Text you already have, made ready to publish
Proofreading & editing
Text that reads as natural, correct and ready to publish — at the level of intervention you actually need.
What it is / who it's for
If your text already says what you mean but doesn't quite read right, this page is for you. There are three levels, and the difference is how much we touch: Proofread — we fix spelling, grammar and punctuation. The sentences stay yours. Edit + proofread — we also improve sentence flow and word choice, and fix the mechanics. Still your voice, tidied up. Rewrite-level edit — we restructure where needed for clarity and readability, on top of everything above.
Most people ordering a first-language draft want a proofread. Most people ordering a translation done by someone else, or their own second-language writing, want edit + proofread. Rewrite-level edit is for a draft that reads as understandable but genuinely awkward throughout.
Who for
- · Anyone with a finished draft that needs a final check

- · Translated documents from another source
- · Website and marketing copy before publishing
- · Academic and professional writing
- · Cover letters and applications
Not sure which tier? Proofread = mechanics only. Edit + proofread = flow and mechanics. Rewrite-level = structure too.

Process
- 01 Order & send your file, choosing a tier
- 02 Editor assigned, matched to your text's subject where relevant
- 03 Edited to the tier you chose, then independently checked
- 04 Delivered as tracked changes or clean copy
The tier is the real decision here, not the editor.
Most proofreading disappointment comes from picking the wrong level of intervention, not from a bad edit — someone expecting a light polish gets a light polish and is frustrated their prose still reads awkwardly, or someone wanting a restructure gets commas fixed and nothing else. We'd rather help you choose the right tier up front than sell you the most expensive one by default.
Proofread. Edit + proofread. Rewrite-level. Pick the one that matches your text.
Turnaround & pricing detail
| Standard | Express | |
|---|---|---|
| ≤1 000 words | 24 hours | 8 hours (+50%) |
| ≤3 000 words | 2 working days | 24 hours (+50%) |
| ≤6 000 words | 3 working days | 2 working days (+50%) |
Rewrite-level work takes longer than a proofread at the same word count — restructuring a paragraph takes longer to do well, and to check, than correcting its commas.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between the tiers, and which one do I need?
Proofread fixes mechanics only. Edit + proofread also improves flow and word choice. Rewrite-level edit restructures where needed. If your text is a translated document or your own second-language writing, edit + proofread is usually the right starting point — email us if you're still unsure and we'll advise before you order.
Will you change my voice or just fix errors?
Proofread and edit + proofread keep your voice — we're tidying, not rewriting your intent. Rewrite-level edit goes further structurally, but the goal is still clarity, not replacing how you sound.
Do you fact-check the content?
No — we check language, not facts. If a claim in your text is wrong, we won't catch that unless it also reads as a language problem.
Can I see what was changed?
Yes — choose tracked changes at checkout and you'll get a marked-up file alongside the clean copy.
